Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CLUTCHH AI, LLC (“clutchh”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the clutchh desktop and mobile applications and related services (the “Service”). clutchh is built to be local-first: your computer does the work, and most of your data lives with you.

1. Information we store on our servers

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password, so you can sign in.
• Subscription status — whether your subscription is active, your credit balance, and the billing identifiers needed to manage it. We never receive or store your full payment card number.
• Your synced workspace — so your devices can share it: your courses, assignments and due dates, calendar entries, drafts, and notes. This is stored in a private space tied to your account; access rules enforce that no other user can ever read it.
• Your profile answers — the optional “get to know you” answers you give at sign-up and can change any time: preferred name, pronouns, hometown, year and level, school, major, the grade you are aiming for, and anything you tell us about your background or beliefs so a draft sounds like you. They are stored with your account and used only to make your own drafts fit you.
• Referral attribution — if you arrive through an ambassador's link, we store a one-way scrambled form of your network address for one hour so the discount can find your sign-up automatically. It is never stored in readable form and is not used to identify you.
• Notification tokens — if you enable notifications on your phone, the anonymous device token needed to deliver them.
• Sign-in and settings — your device's own storage remembers that you are signed in and what you prefer, and our website uses a few essential cookies for the same. No advertising trackers.
• Anonymous error reports — when something in the app fails, it sends us what broke: the step, the kind of error, your school's web address and the app version. It never sends your coursework, your notes, your files, your name or your email, and it is not tied to your account. It exists so a fault at one school is fixed before it reaches everyone there. You can switch it off in Settings.
• App activity log — a record of what the app did: when it synced, which classes it read, how long each step took, what went wrong. It is saved to your computer and also to your clutchh account, so when you write to us we can see what actually happened instead of asking you to find and send a file. It does not include your drafts, your notes or anything you wrote, and passwords are removed before anything is saved. We delete it after 90 days, and the same Settings switch turns it off.

2. Information that stays on your device

• Your school login session. You sign in to your school yourself in a secure window — clutchh never sees or stores your school password. The session never leaves your computer.
• The working copy of your files, in clutchh's workspace folder on your computer, under your control.
• Lecture audio: speech is turned into text on the device itself — the audio is never uploaded anywhere.
• Any Google or Microsoft calendar credential you connect, held in your device's secure keychain.

3. How your content is processed

• Drafting and study material — to draft an assignment or build study material, clutchh sends the relevant course content to our AI provider for processing on your behalf. That provider processes it under its own terms, and your coursework is never used to train models.
• Syncing — clutchh reads your school's pages and files to organize them locally. It reads course content; it does not submit, upload, or post on your behalf.
• Email — account emails, such as password resets, are sent through an email delivery provider on our behalf.

4. How we use information

We use the limited information we store to create and secure your account, provide and bill your subscription, send you service-related emails, and operate and improve the Service. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use your coursework to train models.

5. Service providers

We use outside companies to run accounts and cloud sync, take payments, draft with AI, send account emails, and deliver notifications to your phone. Each one receives only what its own part needs, handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, and none of them sell your data or use your coursework to train models.

6. Google user data

If you choose to connect your Google account, clutchh asks for the narrowest calendar permission Google offers — it can only create its own “clutchh” calendar and manage events on that calendar — plus your email address, used solely to show which account is connected. clutchh uses this for one purpose: putting your assignment due dates on a clutchh calendar in your Google account, from your device, at your request. It cannot see, change, or delete anything already on your calendar — the permission itself makes that impossible.

Sharing and disclosure: we do not share, transfer, disclose, or sell Google user data to any third party. Your Google sign-in stays in your device's secure keychain and talks only to Google's own services to do the above. Google user data is never sent to our servers, never shared with our service providers, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. The only exceptions would be if disclosure were required by law, or with your explicit consent.

clutchh's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google at any time in clutchh's Settings → Connections (which deletes the stored credential from your device) and revoke clutchh's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

7. Microsoft user data

If you choose to connect your Microsoft account, clutchh uses it for one purpose: putting your assignment due dates on a calendar named “clutchh” in your Outlook account, from your device, at your request.

Microsoft does not offer a narrow calendar permission the way Google does, so its consent screen asks for access to your calendars. clutchh only ever creates and writes to the single calendar it made itself, and never reads, changes or deletes anything on your other calendars.

Sharing and disclosure: we do not share, transfer, disclose, or sell Microsoft user data to any third party. Your Microsoft sign-in stays in your device's secure keychain and talks only to Microsoft's own services to do the above. Microsoft user data is never sent to our servers, never shared with our service providers, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. The only exceptions would be if disclosure were required by law, or with your explicit consent.

You can disconnect Microsoft at any time in clutchh's Settings → Connections (which deletes the stored credential from your device). You can also revoke clutchh's access from your Microsoft account directly: personal accounts at account.live.com/consent/Manage, and work or school accounts at myapps.microsoft.com.

8. Retention and deletion

• We keep your account and synced workspace while your account is active.
• Deleting clutchh's workspace folder, or uninstalling the app, removes the local copy.
• To delete your account and everything we hold, email support@clutchh.ai from your account's address. We delete it within 30 days — backups within 90 — apart from billing records the law makes us keep.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy to take elsewhere. Email support@clutchh.ai and we will answer within 30 days. We will never charge you or treat you differently for asking.

clutchh is run from the United States, which is where your information is handled. If a privacy law where you live gives you further rights, tell us and we will honor them.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect what we store and rely on established providers for sign-in and payments. Access to your synced workspace is enforced per account, so no other user can read it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Report a security problem to support@clutchh.ai.

11. Children

The Service is intended for students aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and CLUTCHH AI, LLC (“clutchh”, “we”, “us”) governing your use of the clutchh desktop and mobile applications and related services (the “Service”). By installing, signing in to, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What clutchh is

clutchh is a desktop application that runs on your own computer, with a companion app for your phone and tablet. With your permission, it signs in to your school, organizes your courses, assignments, and materials into a local workspace, drafts assignments for you to review, and makes study material from your notes.

clutchh never submits work, takes quizzes or exams, or posts on your behalf. Submitting anything, and deciding whether a draft is appropriate to submit, is your choice and your responsibility.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use clutchh with a parent or guardian's permission.
• You may only connect accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with the terms of your school and any other service you connect.
• You are responsible for keeping your clutchh login secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it.
• One account is for one person. Do not share your account or resell access to it.

3. Academic integrity and acceptable use

You are solely responsible for how you use clutchh and any drafts it produces. In particular:

• You must follow your school's and instructors' academic-integrity and AI-use policies. Some courses and assignments prohibit or restrict AI assistance — it is your responsibility to know and honor those rules.
• You must not use clutchh to take quizzes, tests, or exams, to gain unauthorized access to any system, or for anything unlawful.
• You must review, understand, and take ownership of any work before submitting it. clutchh's drafts are a starting point, not a finished submission.
• You must not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or work around the safeguards in the Service, or use it to harass anyone or infringe anyone's rights.

clutchh includes safeguards that block submission, upload, and quiz/exam pages, but these are aids, not guarantees. They do not remove your responsibility for how you use the Service.

4. Your credentials and content

clutchh runs locally. Your school sessions, course files, and drafts are stored on your own device, and synced to your private cloud space so your devices stay in step. You keep all rights to your content, including anything clutchh drafts for you. You grant us only the permissions needed to operate the Service for you — storing your workspace so your devices can share it, and sending the content a request needs to our AI provider to fulfil it.

5. Subscriptions, credits and billing

• clutchh is a paid subscription, currently $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Prices are shown in the app and on our site, and may change with notice.
• Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card details.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Each period includes an allowance of Chad credits, which is what drafting and study material draw on. Unused allowance does not roll over.
• Auto-recharge. If you run out of credits mid-period and auto-recharge is on, we add a $9.99 refill so your work is not interrupted. You can switch auto-recharge off at any time in Settings → Account.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. See the Refund Policy.
• You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
• Promotional pricing and ambassador codes apply only as described when you redeem them, and your subscription continues at the normal price when the offer ends.

6. Third-party services

clutchh works with your school and with the providers listed in the Privacy Policy. Their own terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for changes they make.

7. Intellectual property

The clutchh apps, website, name and logo belong to us; these Terms let you use the Service, nothing more. Feedback you send us we may use to improve clutchh, and you keep your idea too.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. AI-generated drafts may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable — you must read and verify any output before relying on it or submitting it. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements, and we are not responsible for changes your school makes to its own systems.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, clutchh will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any academic, disciplinary, financial, or data loss arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows. If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used clutchh — a draft used in a way your school forbids, an account you were not authorized to connect — you agree to cover the reasonable cost of defending it.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or us; where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first. On termination, your right to use the Service ends, any paid period that remains is handled under the Refund Policy, and content stored locally on your device remains yours.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of Michigan. Before starting one, email support@clutchh.ai and allow 30 days for us to resolve it.

11. App store terms

If you got clutchh from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply, and your agreement is still with us and not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support for clutchh, and are not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. General

These Terms, with the Privacy and Refund Policies, are the whole agreement. If one part is unenforceable the rest still applies, and not enforcing a term once does not waive it. You cannot transfer these Terms; we may, to a successor if the business changes hands. Notices go to the email on your account.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how billing and refunds work for the clutchh subscription. By subscribing, you agree to this policy along with our Terms of Service.

Your subscription renews automatically each billing period. Charges for a renewal are final and are not refundable, including for unused time. You can cancel at any time to prevent the next renewal.

1. How billing works

• clutchh is a recurring subscription — currently $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period and again automatically when that period renews.
• Each period includes an allowance of Chad credits. Additional credit refills are one-time charges.

2. No refunds on renewal charges

We do not provide refunds for automatic renewal charges. When your subscription renews, that charge is final regardless of how much of the period you use. This includes situations where you forgot to cancel, stopped using clutchh, or no longer need it. It is your responsibility to cancel before a renewal if you do not want to be charged.

3. Credits are non-refundable

The credits included with your subscription and any refills added to your account are non-refundable. Unused monthly allowance does not roll over; purchased refills do not expire while your account is active.

4. How to stop future charges

clutchh has two kinds of automatic charge, and you control each from inside the app under Settings → Account:

• Turn off auto-recharge (stops automatic credit refills). Switch the Auto-recharge toggle off, and clutchh stops adding a $9.99 refill when your credits run out.
• Cancel your subscription (stops the renewal). Tap Manage subscription → to open your billing portal and cancel there. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again after that.
• Turning off auto-recharge or cancelling does not refund a charge that has already been made.

5. Exceptions

Where a refund is required by law, we honor it, and a duplicate or clearly wrong charge is always refunded. Questions about a charge go to support@clutchh.ai — include the email on your account.

Academic Integrity

clutchh organizes your semester and prepares drafts on your own computer. Nothing is ever submitted automatically. You read every draft, make it your own, and turn it in yourself.

What clutchh is for

• Organization. It mirrors your courses, files, and syllabi to your device and builds a week-by-week view of what is due and when, so nothing slips through the cracks.
• A starting point. It prepares drafts and outlines you can edit and learn from.
• Studying. It turns your own lecture notes into summaries, flashcards, practice tests and study guides you can work through.
• Keeping the work in your hands. Every draft lives in a local workspace for you to revise. The finished submission is your own.

What clutchh does not do

• It never submits, posts, or uploads work on your behalf. Guardrails block submission and posting actions.
• It never takes quizzes, tests, or exams, and it does not open or attempt timed assessments.
• It does not impersonate you or interact with classmates or instructors.

Your responsibility

Every school, course, and instructor has its own rules about what help is allowed. Those rules always come first. Before you use any draft or study material clutchh prepares, make sure it is consistent with your institution's academic-integrity policy and your instructor's expectations for that assignment. Use clutchh to understand the material and organize your work — cite sources honestly, and submit work that reflects your own learning. You are responsible for what you turn in.
